Description
We are seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter to expand our boat manufacturing team. This role is responsible for high-quality interior woodwork, cabinetry, and trim installation within production boats. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience with fine woodworking, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment. In this vital role, you will bring craftsmanship, precision, and expertise to our boat construction, ensuring each vessel meets the highest standards of quality and finish.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate and install interior wood components including cabinetry, trim, panels, and moldings
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and composite materials
Sand, finish (varnish), and install visible interior surfaces to a high standard
Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely and efficiently
Collaborate with production team to meet deadlines and quality standards
Inspect finished work to ensure accuracy and quality
Qualifications:
Proven finish carpentry experience
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency with hand tools and woodworking machinery
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Experience:
Marine or boat building experience
Knowledge of teak, mahogany, and marine-grade materials
Experience with laminates, veneers, and specialty finishes
Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment
