NOW HIRING: FINISH CARPENTER INSTALLERS

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is hiring experienced Finish Carpenter Installers for commercial retail fixture and architectural millwork projects in Baytown, Texas.

Location: Baytown, TX

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Start Time: 6:00 AM

Hours: 8-hour shifts

JOB DUTIES:

• Install commercial retail fixtures, cabinets, counters, wall panels, shelving, slatwall, peg wall, fillers, finished end panels, portals, and architectural millwork.
• Level, plumb, shim, scribe, and fit materials to uneven walls and floors.
• Identify high and low points before beginning installation.
• Make precise miters, bevel cuts, rip cuts, crosscuts, coping cuts, notches, and field modifications.
• Align doors, drawers, seams, joints, panels, reveals, and adjoining fixture sections.
• Install fasteners and anchors into metal studs, wood blocking, masonry, and concrete.
• Protect finished materials and maintain a clean and safe work area.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous commercial retail fixture, architectural millwork, cabinet, or finish-carpentry installation experience is required.
• New-store buildout experience is preferred.
• Strong finish-carpentry and joinery skills.
• Ability to make accurate cuts without damaging finished materials.
• Ability to read measurements, layouts, plans, and installation drawings.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Must have appropriate finish-carpentry tools.

Candidates should be experienced using lasers, levels, table saws, track saws, miter saws, routers, drills, impact drivers, and standard hand tools.
