FINISH GRADE FOREMAN

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finish Grade Foreman to join Franklin’s Earthmoving, Inc., New Mexico’s premier earthmoving contractor. The Finish Grade Foreman is a skilled Foreman responsible for performing precise final grading on construction sites using equipment such as mini-excavators, skid-steer, grading tractor, backhoe and small loader. This position plays a critical role in ensuring surfaces are properly graded, level, smooth, and built according to project specifications prior to paving, landscaping, utility installation, or additional construction activities.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of grading practices, grade stakes, blueprints, and site plans, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, safety, and productivity. The Finish Grade Foreman must work effectively with supervisors, surveyors, and other crew members to ensure project success.
Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in finish grading applications (preferred).
• Demonstrated proficiency operating mini-excavators, skid-steer, and related construction equipment. Experience using a grading tractor, backhoe and small loader is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand grading plans, blueprints, stakes, and elevation benchmarks.
• Strong knowledge of construction site preparation, earthmoving, and grading techniques.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and operate heavy equipment for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb, balance, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work in dusty, muddy, hot, cold, and other challenging construction site conditions.
• Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the workday.
