Description
We are currently hiring experienced Fire Alarm / Intrusion Project Technicians for installation and project work at retail locations throughout the United States.
This is a travel position for experienced technicians who are comfortable working independently, troubleshooting in the field, and completing installations safely and professionally. Projects typically require travel for a few weeks at a time.

What You’ll Be Doing
● Install, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade Fire Alarm, Intrusion, Access Control, IP Video, and low-voltage systems
● Install and terminate low-voltage cabling in commercial/retail environments
● Install and program fire alarm control panels
● Mount sensors, devices, cameras, and related equipment
● Perform drilling, cabling, and limited conduit bending as needed
● Read and work from blueprints, site maps, building plans, and electrical layouts
● Test newly installed systems and devices to ensure proper operation
● Troubleshoot installations and resolve issues in the field
● Ensure installations meet applicable electrical, fire, and life-safety codes
● Coordinate with Project Managers and Installation Leads to keep projects on schedule
● Follow all customer, company, and OSHA safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
● Previous field installation experience with Fire Alarm, Intrusion, Access Control, or related security systems
● Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72
● Experience with multiple Intrusion/Access Control manufacturers is a plus
● NICET certification preferred
● Current state-required Physical Security and/or Life Safety licensing where applicable
● Ability and willingness to travel nationwide for several weeks at a time
● Comfortable working from lifts at heights of approximately 20–60 feet
● Ability to read blueprints and site maps
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
● Professional communication and customer-service skills
● Basic computer, laptop, smartphone, email, and spreadsheet proficiency
● Must have basic PPE
● Reliable transportation during the training period prior to receiving a company vehicle
● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
● No DUI/DWI within the last 3 years
Schedule
Projects are primarily performed during daytime hours, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, although some projects may require night shifts.
Compensation
$25–$40 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, licensing, and overall skill level.
