Fire Suppression Service Technician

Workify Staffing has an opening for a Fire Suppression Service Technician on a Commercial/Industrial project in the Phoenix, AZ area!

This role could turn into a permanent position. If you're a seasoned fire suppression technician who can troubleshoot and fix systems — not just put them in — we'd love to talk with you.

Pay: Starting at $35/hr

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems at commercial and industrial sites, focusing heavily on repair over new installation.
• Identify system failures and troubleshoot various types of fire suppression equipment to get them back to full working order.
• Set up and commission fire suppression systems according to relevant codes, standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Carry out backflow preventer testing, upkeep, and certification per local authority guidelines.
• Keep thorough service logs, inspection notes, and documentation for every job completed on-site.
• Work alongside project managers and site supervisors to align on scheduling, stay code-compliant, and hit project timelines.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of hands-on fire suppression system experience, with proven skill in repair and servicing — not limited to installation.
• Must have at least one certification from the following: CSA FA2, NICET Level II (Fire Protection), or Backflow certification — candidates with more than one are preferred and qualify for higher pay.
• The employer covers the cost of additional certifications (CSA FA2, NICET II, Backflow) upon passing; every certification earned boosts earning potential.
• Capable of reading and understanding blueprints, system diagrams, and technical specs tied to fire suppression.
• Solid grasp of NFPA codes and standards as they relate to commercial and industrial fire suppression systems.
• Role may lead to temp-to-hire or direct hire status depending on the candidate; medical and dental benefits are fully covered once permanent.
