JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Fitness Equipment Technician & Delivery Specialist to join our growing team. This role combines hands-on technical repair work with the delivery, installation, relocation, and pickup of residential and commercial fitness equipment.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and ohmmeters. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, interacting professionally with customers, and handling physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver, install, assemble, relocate, and pick up fitness equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, home gyms, and strength machines
Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair fitness equipment
Use diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to identify electrical and mechanical issues
Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Load and unload heavy equipment safely using proper lifting techniques and moving equipment
Provide excellent customer service during in-home and commercial service visits
Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair recommendations clearly
Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are organized and maintained
Technical Requirements
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and hand tools
Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions
Experience with fitness equipment repair, installation, or similar mechanical/electrical service work preferred
Basic knowledge of motors, belts, rollers, electronics, and resistance systems
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Physical Requirements
Ability to safely lift and move 75–150+ pounds with assistance or moving equipment
Ability to repeatedly push, pull, bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs, and work in tight spaces
Comfortable loading and unloading large equipment from trucks and trailers
Ability to work in residential homes, commercial gyms, and warehouse environments
Capable of standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday
Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions during deliveries and installations
