Job Title: Fleet Mechanic – Construction Equipment & Vehicles
Location: Buffalo, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: [25.00-40.00/ hour] (Depending on experience)

We rely on a well-maintained, high-performing fleet to keep our jobsites running safely and on schedule. We are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our vehicles and heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a varied fleet, including dump trucks, pickup trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, and trailers.
Diagnostics: Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and engine issues using diagnostic software and hands-on testing.
Jobsite Mobile Service: Respond to emergency field service calls to repair equipment on-site when necessary.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all vehicles and machinery meet DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations; assist with annual DOT inspections.
Record Keeping: Track work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory parts using our fleet management system.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 3+ years of experience as a fleet, diesel, or heavy equipment mechanic (construction industry experience preferred).
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, 12V/24V electrical systems, and air brakes.
Certifications: Valid Driver’s License required; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) preferred. ASE or heavy equipment certifications are a plus.
Tools: Must own a base set of personal hand tools (specialty and heavy tools provided).
Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in outdoors/field environments, and stand/kneel for extended periods.
