Fleet Mechanic - eFUEL

MOBILE FLEET MECHANIC – $33.00/HR

eFUEL is hiring a full-time Mobile Fleet Mechanic to service and maintain our fleet of trucks and trailers. This position is based in West Sacramento and includes travel to other eFUEL locations as needed.

PAY & SCHEDULE

• Starting pay: $33.00 per hour
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Overtime available
• Weekends as needed
• Location: 1515 S. River Road, West Sacramento, CA 95691
• Travel to other company locations may be required

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trucks and trailers
• Repair suspension systems, pumps, electrical wiring, steering, brakes, and engines
• Complete scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Travel to multiple yards to repair out-of-service vehicles
• Perform daily vehicle inspections
• Complete 90-day DOT inspections and maintain CHP-compliant documentation
• Enter repairs and services into the company’s fleet tracking system
• Communicate repair status, timelines, and vehicle availability to the operations team
• Test-drive vehicles to confirm repairs and overall performance
• Maintain parts inventory with the Fleet Manager
• Keep the shop and service truck clean, safe, and organized

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience working with diesel and mid-size vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Knowledge of DOT and CHP compliance requirements
• Experience repairing electrical, suspension, brake, and engine-related issues
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to use computer-based maintenance tracking systems
• Ability to lift up to 150 pounds
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• ASE certification or related training preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
