Flower Shop Manager and Designer

A boutique flower shop located at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Manhattan is looking for an experienced Shop Manager & Floral Designer with experience in both small and large installations.

This position will assist with large-scale installations for our established hotel and corporate accounts, as well as in-store orders and daily shop operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure flowers are properly watered, conditioned, and stored to prevent wilting.
• Serve in-store customers and process payments.
• Maintain an adequate supply of wires, floral foam, ribbons, tape, and other decorative supplies.
• Advise customers on the proper care and maintenance of their floral arrangements.
• Consult with clients to determine their preferences and specifications before designing customized floral arrangements.
• Assist with large-scale floral installations for hotel lobbies, corporate offices, and buildings in the area.
• Communicate professionally with clients in person, over the phone, and by email.
• Support the daily organization and operation of the flower shop.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years of floral design and installation experience.
• Experience with large-scale floral installations.
• Strong knowledge of flower types, arrangement styles, and flower conditioning.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong computer and email skills.
• Experience creating recipes and ordering flowers.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE:

• $30–$35 per hour, plus tips.
• Shop hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Schedule is subject to change based on events)
• Paid lunch break.
