Foreman / Operations Manager for Roofing Co

We are seeking an experienced roofing Foreman / Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for a growing residential roofing company in Truckee. Duties include scheduling/coordinating with customers and office, permit inspections, overseeing installation operations including materials delivery, tear-off, employee oversight, and job completion. Candidate must be able to provide technical instruction and supervision of crew. Candidate also needs to be able to accurately estimate installation time requirements for new/potential projects and work closely with Marketing/sales team. Our primary area is the Truckee/Tahoe region. Fluency in English and Spanish highly preferred.

Primary Duties:
-Scheduling
-Materials Procurement
-Installation oversight, provide installation assistance and technical direction
-Job measurement/assessments/time estimating
-Manage installation crew
-Communicate with Customers
-Implement efficiencies & execute safety standards

Roof Experience Desired
-5+ years architectural shingles and metal (including proper flashing and counter-flashing installation)

• Able to layout roofs, chalk lines and accurately align valleys and transitions
• Able to layout metal panels, make adjustments for penetrations, knowledge of all facets of proper metal detail installation
• Able to identify and install enhanced underlayment requirements, ie. Ice & Water shield installation, transition waterproofing

-1+ years lead roofer / supervisor
-Basic carpentry skills, (removing & reinstalling trim/siding, using basic powertools, touch up paint, minor wood rot remediation)
-TPO / PVC / Flat work is a bonus
-3+ years in repairs

This is a fantastic ground-floor opportunity for someone who is entrepreneurial and likes the idea of running their own company but wants the support of an established company. This region is very seasonal so we are flexible as to work situations between Summer/Winter. We are very growth oriented so the potential exists to expand into other areas as well as add additional services to smooth out revenue between seasons. Ideally, we are seeking a KEY candidate to help us grow, with the prospect of eventually becoming a partner in the business. Compensation
$50.00+ per hour
We are keenly aware of the challenges of providing roofing services in the Tahoe region and we understand that because of the extreme seasonality, people need to earn more to work here. Our intent is to provide a lucrative compensation plan based on a split of gross profit on every job. We want to reward a dedicated hard-working and talented Manager, commensurate with their overall contribution, not JUST the time spent on the job.
