Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sit Down Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to handle materials, assist with shipping and receiving, and support overall warehouse operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, safety protocols, and mechanical knowledge to ensure efficient and safe material handling.

Duties

Operate sit-down forklifts, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems for accurate order picking and inventory control
Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks, including stacking pallets and organizing stock
Assist with shipping & receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and safety procedures are followed
Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment in accordance with OSHA standards
Support warehouse operations such as order picking, load & unload activities, and using pallet jacks or construction equipment as needed
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and mechanical knowledge of equipment
Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or heavy equipment operation
Familiarity with forklift operation, crane use, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other warehouse equipment
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and mechanical systems related to heavy equipment
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory accuracy
Warehouse supervisor experience or construction background is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to safety procedures and operational protocols
