Successful candidates will be experienced construction leaders who are self-motivated, dependable, detail oriented, and able to effectively lead a crew. The ideal candidate will have strong residential framing and siding experience and be comfortable working hands-on in the field.
Overview of Duties
- Work directly under the Framing Superintendent to execute daily and weekly production goals while leading framing and siding crews in the field.
- Provide daily direction to crew members and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans, specifications, and Wallcon standards.
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications and oversee residential framing and siding installation, including proper layout, flashing, weatherproofing, and finishing details.
- Monitor production, workmanship, and jobsite progress; perform quality control and ensure work is completed to Wallcon and customer standards.
- Identify and communicate potential issues, delays, material shortages, or changes to the Superintendent and provide proactive follow-up on jobsite needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite while following and enforcing OSHA requirements and Wallcon safety policies.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment; assist with inspections and coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to keep projects moving.
- Train and mentor crew members while working hands-on as needed to maintain production, quality, and overall jobsite performance.
- 5+ years of residential framing and/or siding experience.
- Previous experience as a Foreman or crew leader preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential framing and siding construction.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Must be self-motivated and a proactive problem solver.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to manage and direct a crew in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Ability to work independently while taking direction from the Superintendent.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Authorized to work in the US.
