What You Own

• Daily production: know your crew number for the day before the shift starts, and know by lunch whether you will hit it.
• Layout: snap and build from the plans, wall type legend, and dimensions. Verify against the structure before the crew builds the wrong wall on the wrong line.
• Crew direction: assign men by unit and by stack, keep the crew loaded, and move people the moment a face is waiting.
• Assembly compliance: build rated and STC assemblies exactly as detailed — stud gauge and spacing, shaft wall, top-of-wall deflection, blocking, backing, and firestopping.
• Quality at the wall: plumb, straight, on layout, correct fastener pattern. You catch it, not the inspector.
• Material: keep board and studs staged ahead of the crew and keep stocked material protected and off the finished work.
• Coordination: work with the other trades on your floor on rough-in and close-in so nobody gets rocked in before they are ready.
• Safety and housekeeping: toolbox talks, PPE, clean floors, and clear paths every day.
• Reporting: crew hours, production by unit, and anything that slowed you down, turned in daily.

The Standard We Hire To

• You run a schedule, not a to-do list. You know what has to be complete this Friday to protect the following Friday, and you say so out loud before it slips.
• You forecast. You can tell the office three weeks out how many men you need, on what floors, and what will stop you if it does not show up.
• You are organized to the point of being predictable — same reporting, same walk, same numbers, every day, without being asked twice.
• You hold the line on production and quality without running people off. Crews should know exactly what you expect and exactly where they stand.
• You put it in writing. Manpower, production, delays, damage, and directives from others get documented the day they happen.

What You Need

• Three or more years framing and hanging in commercial or multifamily, including two or more running a crew.
• Able to read plans, wall type legends, and rated assembly details and lay out from them independently.
• Proven ability to run a crew of eight to twenty and hold a daily production number.
• OSHA 30 preferred, OSHA 10 required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Own hand tools and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass background screening, drug screening, and site badging.

• Usted maneja un cronograma, no una lista de tareas. Sabe qué debe estar completo este viernes para proteger el viernes siguiente, y lo dice en voz alta antes de que se atrase.
• Usted proyecta. Puede decirle a la oficina con tres semanas de anticipación cuántos hombres necesita, en qué pisos, y qué lo detendrá si no llega.
• Usted es organizado hasta el punto de ser predecible: los mismos reportes, la misma caminata, los mismos números, todos los días, sin que se lo pidan dos veces.
• Usted mantiene la línea en producción y calidad sin espantar a la gente. Las cuadrillas deben saber exactamente qué espera y exactamente dónde están paradas.
