Freelance Seamstress - Swimwear

I’m looking for an experienced seamstress to work with me on small-batch production for an independent women’s swimwear brand based in Boston.

I’m looking for someone who takes pride in quality construction, has strong attention to detail, and is interested in building an ongoing freelance relationship as the brand grows.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Professional sewing experience
• Experience working with nylon/spandex and stretch fabrics
• Swimwear, activewear, lingerie, or similar experience strongly preferred
• Must have your own sewing machine
• Serger/overlock machine strongly preferred
• Comfortable working with elastic and stretch materials
• Able to follow patterns and samples
• Clean, consistent finishing
• Reliable and able to meet production timelines

THE WORK:
This will initially be small-batch, project-based production with the potential for ongoing work. I’m looking for someone who is interested in developing a long-term working relationship as the brand grows.

COMPENSATION:

Freelance/project-based. Rate negotiable based on experience and production requirements.

LOCATION:

Boston, MA / Greater Boston. Flexible on location for the right fit.
