Full-Time Apartment Maintenance Tech Needed

We're a small, family-owned apartment maintenance and renovation company looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable handling general apartment maintenance and repairs and has a good working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general handyman work. Around 1 year of maintenance or similar experience is preferred, but we’re also willing to consider someone who is handy, dependable, and willing to learn.

Because we are a small company, everyone works together and helps where needed. We want someone who is looking to become part of the team and feels comfortable working in a family-owned environment rather than a large corporate maintenance company.

Duties:

Complete general maintenance and repair work at apartments in the LA area
Communicate professionally with tenants and property managers
Perform basic drywall repairs, patching, and painting
Handle basic plumbing repairs, such as replacing faucets, angle stops, toilet components, and similar items
Perform basic electrical work, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and ceiling fans
Complete general handyman repairs as needed
Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine what repairs are needed
Take clear before-and-after photos of completed work
Communicate with the office regarding job status, materials needed, and any additional work that may be required
Keep work areas clean and organized
Pick up materials or supplies when needed
Work independently while also being comfortable working with the rest of our team

Qualifications:

Approximately 1 year of maintenance, handyman, construction, or similar experience preferred. Does not have to be full professional experience.
Basic knowledge of drywall, patching, and painting
Basic plumbing knowledge
Basic electrical knowledge
Comfortable using common hand and power tools
Able to troubleshoot and complete general apartment maintenance repairs
Must be able to communicate in English
Must have a cell phone capable of taking photos and using WhatsApp
Must have a reliable vehicle and current auto insurance
Must be dependable, organized, and able to communicate well with the office
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team

Additional Details:

We provide a $10 per week cell phone stipend and a $50 per week vehicle stipend.

Payday is every Friday. You don't have to wait two weeks for your paycheck.
