Full Time Architectural Metal Fabricator / Machinist / Installer

Salvato Fabrications is hiring a full- time (90-day probationary period) Metal Fabricator/Machinist.

We are a high-end architectural & general metal fabrication company in the East Bay, looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years experience in the architectural metal fabrication field.

We are also open to individuals just entering the field that are driven and devoted to the trade.

We primarily work with steel, stainless, brass, bronze, and aluminum.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Physical:

• Moving heavy objects & equipment
• Stand for long periods

Mental:

• Must be able to read CAD drawings, architectural prints, hand drawings, and take verbal instructions.
• Must be able to read decimal values, be able to convert fractions, and have basic math skills. ALL shop drawings are in decimal values!

SHOP RESPONSIBILITIES:

• TIG welding (steel, stainless, aluminum, copper, brass)
• High-finish grinding/finishing
• Semi-automatic cold saw operation
• Bandsaw operation
• Vertical Mill operation
• Lathe operation
• General hand tool & power tool usage
• Proper maintenance and care of all shop equipment
• Shop Cleaning
