GEOTECHNICAL DRILLING ASSISTANT – $23/HR TO START

Small family-owned geotechnical drilling company looking for a reliable, hard-working person to join our crew.

This is an outdoor construction labor job. No experience is necessary, but you MUST be physically capable and willing to work outside all day, including in 120+ degree summer heat.

The job:

• $23/hour to start
• Monday–Friday, with very occasional Saturday work
• Start times typically between 4:00–6:00 AM
• 10+ hour days are common
• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
• Mostly local/Valley work
• Approximately 10% out-of-town work, including around Arizona and occasionally New Mexico
• Overnight travel is sometimes required
• Lots of physical labor, including shoveling, lifting steel, loading/unloading equipment, and general jobsite work
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
• Must be comfortable getting dirty and working in all weather conditions
• Must be 18+

We use large F-750 trucks with truck-mounted drill rigs, as well as other large work trucks. A CDL is a huge plus, but not required. You must have a clean driving record and be comfortable driving large trucks.

There is room to move up. We are looking for someone who is interested in eventually learning how to operate the drill rig and become a driller. As you learn and take on more responsibility, pay increases are available. Becoming a driller is not required—you can also stay in the assistant/laborer position.

Requirements:

• 18+
• Able to lift 50+ lbs
• Good physical stamina
• Able to work outside for long periods in extreme heat
• Comfortable with heavy physical labor and shoveling
• Clean driving record
• Able to drive large trucks
• Pass a drug test
• MVR (driving record) will be checked
• No experience necessary
