Basic Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
• Dependable attendance
• Good communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Adaptable to changing schedules
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed

Grade Checker Responsibilities

• Perform grade checking throughout all phases of construction projects.
• Perform construction site layout using blueprints and survey staking.
• Operate GPS grade control systems (Trimble, Topcon, or similar).
• Use laser grade checking equipment accurately.
• Verify elevations, slopes, and construction tolerances.
• Work closely with project superintendents, foremen, surveyors, and equipment operators to ensure project accuracy.
