Green Builder of Custom Homes Seeking Skilled Carpenter

We are looking for a qualified Lead Carpenter with proven experience. Seeking an individual with an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The primary purpose of this job is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong, sustainable energy-efficient structures, multi-family and single family.
Promptness, TEAM ATTITUDE, good work ethic, flexibility and experience are critical to this work.

PAY RANGE: Up to $45/HR

This company has been in business for 40 years, over 10 years ago it transitioned into the first green building business in Idaho. Each one of our jobs is unique, involving high attention to detail, follow-through, and the willingness to learn new techniques and approaches to deliver quality craftsmanship time and again.

Responsibilities

Rough carpentry

• Rough Wood framing & Finish Wood Framing
• Concrete forming

Finish carpentry

• Door/window trim-out, baseboard and crown moulding.
• Custom Cabinet construction, and/or pre-fab cabinet installation

Must have all hand tools and reliable transportation:
Circular Saw, Cordless Reciprocating Saw (Sawz-All) , Cordless Jigsaw
Tool belt with speed square, 25’ tape measure, finish pry bar, Demo Pry Bar, torpedo level, 4’ level and 6’ level, Nail puller, Nail punches, Framing Hammer, Finish Hammer, utility knife, Chisels.
Cordless Drill and Impact Driver with variety of bits and batteries
Leather boots, and gloves.
OPTIONAL (based on pay/employee position):
Small Compressor, Framing Nailer, 15 Ga. Finish Nailer, 18 Ga. Finish Nailer, 100’ of hose.
Table Saw, Miter Saw with Stand
Ladders

An experienced guy should have all those tools plus many more.

Requirements

Proven experience as carpenter/handyman

• Able to provide references
• Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is highly valued.
• MUST submit a resume to be considered.
