Position is available in the Northeast Los Angeles area and surrounding cities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide labor under the direction of the Foreman to bring about completion of tree and landscape maintenance jobs. Involves skillful use of vehicles and equipment. Requires a strong personal consideration for safety.

WORK HOURS

Typical hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five days per week. Overtime hours available based on job needs, emergency and/or job conditions.

Compensation

Starting salary $25.69 - $34.42+$8.93 fringe benefits,
Total Compensation up to $43.35, D.O.E.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma
Read, speak & write English
Tree care experience
A valid Commercial Driver’s License
Must pass company roll-off driving test
Must be physically fit & pass pre-employment physical
Ability to work in adverse conditions
Reliable transportation required

REGULAR JOB DUTIES

Attend crew meetings
Load and unload trucks with logs, brush & debris weighing up to or more than 75 lbs.
Properly feeds limbs into wood/brush chipper
Keeps work area clean and orderly
Assist in traffic control
Fuels up equipment and vehicles
Services vehicles and equipment
Assist other crewmembers as needed
Operate brush chippers, dump trucks, chain saws & various hand tools

SPECIAL OPERATIONS

Truck driver assignments/Loader operations
Stump grinder operations
Ropes, cables, hoists & ladders

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES RECOMMENDED

Class B Driver's License
ISA Certified Tree Worker and/or Arborist
