Job Overview
The Groundskeeper Lead will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment, and will provide some work direction to groundskeeping staff.
Roles & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features
Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials
Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems
Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment
Rake, mulch, and compost leaves
Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws
Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment.
Stops at risk behaviors of others and self
Respond to trouble calls and cleans up spills
Provide work direction and assistance to grounds team as directed by Supervisor
Assist in training and scheduling staff as needed
Trach equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas
Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
Monitor employees proper use pf personal protective equipment and supplies
Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
Operate motorized cleaning equipment
Other duties as assigned
Qualification

Education and/ or Experience:
High school diploma / GED – preferred
One year related experience and/or training – preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Completed all safety and task training certifications.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
