Description

Professional long time photographer is seeking a talented Hair & Makeup Artist to provide polished, natural beauty styling for portrait and commercial photography sessions.

We’re looking for someone who can create timeless, camera-ready looks that enhance each client’s natural features while making them feel comfortable and confident throughout their experience.

Responsibilities include:

Provide both hair styling and makeup application for clients.

Work confidently with a wide variety of skin tones, skin types, hair textures, and ages.
Arrive on time and fully prepared for every appointment.
Supply all professional products, tools, brushes, sanitation supplies, and equipment needed.
Maintain strict sanitation and hygiene practices.
Collaborate with the photographer to achieve the desired look for each session.
Help create a calm, welcoming luxury client experience.

Qualifications include:

Professional experience in both hair styling and makeup artistry.
Strong portfolio demonstrating natural, refined work.
Experience with photography or bridal makeup is preferred.
Ability to adapt makeup for different lighting conditions and camera work.
Reliable transportation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Punctual, dependable, honest and detail-oriented.

Compensation:

$85 per hour.
Must be comfortable with working with clients back-to-back in intervals of 1 hour including sanitization between clients.
Paid as an independent contractor.
Initial paid trial session required before ongoing bookings.
Scheduling is based on client session bookings.

Additional details:

False lashes can be added by request of the client but provided by the artist.
Generally we expect that a client HMU would take 40-50 minutes.
Dress code (professional, neutral clothing).
Requirement to keep products fresh and sanitary.
Must be comfortable with feedback from the client and make changes if needed.
The hourly rate may cover touchups during the session and will be communicated in advance.
Generally sessions are held at the studio and on location.
