Description

Hand Drywall Finisher / Plaster Repair Specialist

Earn $26–$35 per hour (+ OT if you want, tool allowance, paid birthday off, full benefits, and a team that actually gives a sh*t).
If you’re either:
A senior hand drywall finisher who takes pride in perfect walls and wants to learn high-end plaster and old-home repair, or
A seasoned plaster/drywall pro who already fixes everyone else’s mistakes,
…this is for you.
This is not a new-construction production taping job.
We work in finished homes doing repairs, patches, and high-end texture matches using hand tools (trowels, knives, hawk/pan).
If most of your experience is running boxes all day on new builds, this won’t be a fit.
What’s in it for you
$26–$35/hr depending on skill and experience (realistic top performers around $70,000/year)

Company uniform (sweatshirts, shirts, hats)
Paid day off for your birthday
Full-time, steady work, mostly within ~30 minutes of central Pittsburgh
401(k) with match

How your days actually run
No “mystery address” mornings: You see your schedule, jobs, notes, and photos in our app ahead of time so you can mentally prep before you roll.
Real support on every job: Need paperwork, scheduling, or customer info? Call the office. Need project clarity or get stuck on a detail? Call operations. You’re never just dropped on a job and left alone.
Structured onboarding, not sink-or-swim: We walk you through how we work, ride-alongs, and expectations so you’re confident before you’re solo.
Clear expectations: You know what “good” looks like here, how we measure it, and how you’re doing.
Use your expertise, not just your hands: We trust you to make calls in the field, and we actually want your input on how to improve.
Consistent feedback and growth: Short weekly job reviews + a simple monthly hands-on skills session so we keep getting better together (no corporate slide-deck “training”).
f you’re a career drywall/plaster pro who actually likes being part of a solid team, this is the place to plant your flag. You get structure, clear expectations, and steady, year‑round work, without someone breathing down your neck or treating you like “just the new guy.” You’ll run your own jobs, have a real voice in how we do things, and grow into more responsibility (lead tech, trainer, specialist) as we keep expanding.
If you’ve tried running your own small drywall/plaster gig and got burned out chasing paperwork, new jobs, and payments, this is the opposite: we handle the leads, estimates, and collections so you can focus on the craft and still grow.
What you’ll be doing
High-end drywall and plaster patching and repairs
Texture matching (we do a lot of it – it’s art)
Working in finished homes where protection, cleanliness, and communication really matter
Running your own jobs and helping train apprentices when needed
Who we are (the “heart” part)
We’re Pittsburgh’s #1 drywall and plaster repair company, and our business is booming. We serve busy, higher-end homeowners who care more about quality, cleanliness, and reliability than getting the cheapest price.
I started in the trades doing quality work and still going home feeling like just another number. Little thanks. “We’ll train you more later” that never really happened. No real voice in how things could be better.
We’ve been in business 7 years. Early on, we were that same kind of company. After learning the hard way, we rebuilt around organization, communication, and craftsmanship. You’ll have structure, support, and a real say in how we improve. We’re not perfect, but we’re serious about getting better on purpose and treating people like humans, not numbers.
You’ll see real opportunity here: from senior tech to trainer/lead as we keep growing.
What we need from you
10+ years plastering and/or hand drywall finishing and patching experience
Last 3+ years mostly residential repair / remodel work, not production new construction
Proven ability to match textures to a high standard (we’ll train a top-tier hand finisher on old plaster specifics)
Great communication skills with customers and teammates
Can work unsupervised, run your own jobs, and self-assess your quality
Clean, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Able to pass drug and criminal background checks
Must be honest, no matter what
Please do NOT apply if…
You can’t show up on time, every time
You blame, gaslight, or lie when something goes wrong
You get defensive instead of taking feedback and fixing it
You “good enough” your work and hope paint hides it
Your main experience is production new construction us
