At TruBlue Serving Calabasas, we are seeking an experienced Handyman / Carpenter / Craftsman who takes pride in their work, respects clients' homes, and can independently complete a wide range of home repair and renovation projects throughout the East Conejo & West San Fernando Valleys.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a TruBlue Home Service Technician, you will perform a variety of residential carpentry, home maintenance, and light remodeling projects while working directly with homeowners. Whether you are remodeling a busy family's bathroom or performing routine repairs to help a senior client age safely in their home, your goal is to provide peace of mind. We are looking for a true professional who builds trust through transparency, shows compassion and respect in every interaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The TruBlue Standard - Deliver a higher standard of service to every customer, every time. Build trust and show compassion by communicating clearly, arriving promptly, listening to client needs, and maintaining an impeccably clean and safe workspace.

General Carpentry - Install and repair trim, baseboards, crown molding, interior/exterior doors, shelving, cabinetry, and custom woodwork.

General Home Repairs & Handyman Work - Diagnose and resolve everyday residential maintenance issues, hardware installation, deck repairs, and general house upkeep.

Bathroom Upgrades & Remodels - Complete bathroom refreshes and full remodels, including vanity replacement, fixture upgrades, shower trim, subfloor prep, and finishing work.

Tile Work - Layout, cut, and install ceramic, porcelain, and stone tile for backsplashes, floors, and shower walls, including grouting and sealing.

Flooring Installation & Repair - Measure, prep, and install LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank), laminate, hardwood, and tile flooring, along with repairing existing floors.

Drywall & Surface Finishing - Perform drywall patching, hole repair, tape-and-spackle, texture matching, and caulking for interior and exterior surfaces.

Interior & Exterior Painting - Complete thorough surface preparation (sanding, scraping, priming) and apply top-coat paints to walls, ceilings, trim, siding, and decks.

Minor Plumbing - Install and repair faucets, sinks, toilets, garbage disposals, showerheads, p-traps, and clear simple drain clogs.

Minor Electrical - Replace light fixtures, ceiling fans, outlets, switches, wall plates, and dimmers safely.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Experience - Minimum 5+ years of paid, hands-on experience in residential carpentry, remodeling, tile, drywall, and general handyman trades.

Tools & Transport - Must possess a complete set of standard hand / power tools and a reliable vehicle.

Licensing & Background - Valid California Driver's License, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check.

Technical Skills - Strong problem-solving ability with a keen eye for detail, quality, and clean job-site management.

Customer Service - Excellent communication skills, punctual, courteous, and comfortable interacting with homeowners and senior clients.

Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs, climb ladders, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
