Handyman

Description

We are a local Property Management and Real Estate Brokerage Company looking for a reliable handyman to serve as our backup to our main handyman. We manage residential and small commercial properties, and we need someone we can call when our main guy is booked or out. This position will grow as we are growing.

WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE

  • House calls at our managed properties.
  • General repairs and maintenance.
  • Carpentry and general construction (trim, doors, framing, drywall, decks, etc.).
  • Basic plumbing and electrical (simple repairs, fixture swaps, and diagnosing the problem).
  • Other odds and ends that come with maintaining rental properties.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience in repairs, carpentry, and general construction.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Your own tools (we do not supply tools).
  • Current Certificate of Insurance (COI). Please have it ready to send before we schedule any work.
  • Availability on 1 to 3 days' notice.
  • Professional, on time, and respectful of tenants and their homes.
  • EXCELLENT communication. This is KEY. You will confirm arrival times and update us when the job is done.
  • No tolerance for no call no shows.
  • Respects safety, knowledgeable about local codes and requirements.
HOW IT WORKS

  • We purchase all materials needed for a job. If something needs to be replaced, we buy it or you pick it up as needed to finish the work, and we reimburse you. Keep your receipts.
  • We work with licensed electricians and plumbers. If a job turns out to need one, you still get paid a fee for coming out and diagnosing the problem for us.
  • You are paid the same day the job is completed, per job, by Venmo or Zelle.
  • This is on-call backup work. Volume will vary, but it can grow for the right person.
TO APPLY, PLEASE EMAIL US WITH:

1. Your name and phone number.
2. A short description of your experience and the kinds of jobs you handle.
3. Your general service area.
4. Confirmation that you have a valid license, your own tools, and a current COI.

Photos of past work are welcome, but not required. We will follow up with qualified candidates to set up a quick call.
