Hardwood Flooring apprentice wanted.

Treadline Construction is hiring an entry-level Hardwood Flooring Apprentice to join our local crew. We are intentionally not looking for seasoned pros or experienced journeymen for this role. We want a reliable, motivated newbie who has zero ego, a great attitude, and a strong desire to learn the hardwood flooring trade from the ground up.

You do not need prior construction experience, actually its almost preferred. We will provide full training on every aspect of the craft. What you do need is an unbeatable work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability.

This is physically demanding work, so you must be capable of lifting heavy materials, comfortable spending extended time working on your knees, comfortable using power tools (or comfortable willing to learn) and ready to hustle alongside a crew that takes massive pride in doing high-caliber work. Having a valid driver's license, reliable transportation to the job site each morning, and a sharp mind ready to absorb new skills are the only strict requirements. Must be comfortable with a commute to Tualatin almost every day.

Pay starts at $20 an hour and goes up from there, typically $1 every 6 months or sooner depending on how fast you can learn/grow.

From day one, you will learn subfloor prep, wood flooring installation, dustless sanding systems, custom staining, and protective coat finishing. Likely your role would start out easy, mostly demo/material handling/beginner work. Hopefully give you taste of the company culture, average work environment and see how you like it (and more importantly make sure you're committed to the trade before we dive into full on training).
