Head of Construction, $40/hr + 400sqft workshop for tool storage

PBPM Construction is hiring a Head of Construction to lead our remodel and repositioning projects. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can run jobs from start to finish, manage crews and subcontractors, keep work on schedule, cost effective, and hold a high standard for quality. We want someone who knows a little bit of everything.

This role covers a portfolio of properties across Los Angeles and Orange County with daily travel between job sites.

We own every property we work on. That means no bidding, no chasing third-party clients, and no change-order fights with homeowners. You work on our buildings, on our timeline, with a steady pipeline of projects lined up. Your job is the work itself, not managing customers.

PAY:

• $40.00/hr
• Earnings potential up to $178,320 per year at the maximum schedule
• Full-time work available now

SCHEDULE:

• Core schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day
• Weekend work is available and completely optional
• Extended days up to 12 hours available at your election
• All federal holidays off

BENEFITS:

• $300 per month gas allowance ($3,600 per year) toward fuel
• Your own dedicated 400 sq. ft. workshop for tools and equipment

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Hands-on work across the trades: plumbing, basic electrical, framing, drywall, countertops, cabinet installation, tile, and more
• Manage a crew and coordinate subcontractors
• Run projects
• Keep jobs on schedule, Cost Effective, and at a high standard

WHERE THIS CAN GO:

We are building a long-term team, not filling a short-term gap. The goal is to work together for the next 30 years. If you are a hard worker and can manage people, this role grows into leading a crew of 20 - 30 under you as the company expands. We want someone who sees this as a career, not a job.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Several years in construction or remodel projects
• Strong hands-on trade background in [specify: carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, framing, general construction, etc.]
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, needed to communicate with crews and subcontractors on site
• Comfortable managing subcontractors and reading plans
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
