Equipment Operations Manager Needed

Description

We are seeking a results-driven Heavy Construction Supervisor to lead our fleet operations. You will take the wheel in managing our heavy machinery and transport trucks, ensuring optimal mechanical conditions, operator safety, and peak performance across all job sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to ensure smooth daily operations across all departments.
  • Submit clear, legible, and orderly daily reports of duties performed, issues encountered, and remedies implemented. All reports are to be submitted daily.
  • Inspect and maintain facilities to ensure an organized, clean, and professional operation, including a safe working environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
  • Regularly inspect all facilities for security breaches and take corrective action when needed.
  • Identify any preexisting or new condition issues, their causes, and the responsible parties. Fill out and submit a written report with pictures.
  • Enforce a strict Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to keep all machines and trucks in excellent mechanical condition and minimize unscheduled downtime.
  • Coordinate with external repair shops, order necessary replacement parts, and manage inventory stock levels efficiently.
  • Support intercompany entities as needed.
  • Enforce intercompany policies and safety standards.
  • The process of finding, interviewing, testing, and evaluating potential new hires is essential. Train new hires on company basics, such as record keeping and safety policies, upon a successful hire. Discipline employees when needed, including termination if directed by management.
  • Other related duties may be required and should be performed as needed.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in fleet, crew management, heavy equipment operations, or diesel mechanics.
  • Ability to traverse uneven terrain, work in outdoor elements, and lift heavy equipment.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to establish rapport with fellow employees and maintain a team-building mentality with integrity.
  • Proficient computer skills, including email, texting, and Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Proven ability to manage field staff, and handle on-site safety, not just administrative tasks
  • Ability to identify deficiencies and take the initiative to solve problems
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
