Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Job description:

Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on semi truck diesel engines and related components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. - Inspect, test, and repair industrial equipment, heavy machinery, and vehicles such as tractor-trailers.

• Use power tools, diagnostic equipment, and computer software to identify problems and make necessary repairs.
• Conduct brake repairs, including air brake systems.

• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to guide repair work.
• Perform hydraulic system maintenance and repair.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components.

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems in diesel vehicles.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment and heavy machinery operation.

• Ability to use power tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
• Experience with tractor-trailers and air brake systems is preferred.

- Knowledge of hydraulic systems maintenance and repair. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Diesel engine repair: 4 years (Preferred)

Trailer repair: 2 years (Preferred)
Computer diagnostics: 1 year (Preferred)
