Heavy Equipment and Truck Mechanic

Established in 1992, Advanced Asphalt Paving is a family-owned full-service Commercial Asphalt and Concrete paving company serving Northeast Ohio.
Duties, Skills, and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and construction machinery
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, filters, brakes, and inspections
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components
• Maintain and repair asphalt paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, skid steers, loaders, and related equipment
• Perform repairs on dump trucks and trailers
• Identify potential equipment problems before they result in breakdowns
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform field repairs when necessary
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Keep the shop, tools, and work areas organized and safe
• Communicate equipment issues and repair needs with management and field crews

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a heavy equipment, diesel, truck, or construction equipment mechanic preferred
• Experience working with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and drivetrain components
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and standard mechanic tools
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
