Diesel Mechanic

Description

Precision. Power. Performance. At Mike’s Inc., we do more than just fix engines—from river to road we keep you moving. Whether it’s a massive ship, a heavy semi-truck, or big industrial machines, our team is the best at what they do. We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in their work, loves solving tough problems, and wants to work in a professional, top-tier shop.

As a technician at Mike’s, you aren’t just "turning wrenches." You are a diagnostic expert who makes sure heavy-duty machines stay safe and reliable. Your daily tasks will include:

Smart Troubleshooting: Using high-tech software to find and fix problems in engines, brakes, and steering systems.

Expert Repairs: Taking apart and fixing diesel engines and exhaust systems.

Total Maintenance: Doing deep inspections to catch small problems before they cause a breakdown.

Quality Control: Checking every vehicle to make sure it meets our high standards before it leaves the shop.

Shop Pride: Keeping your workspace clean and organized while keeping clear digital notes on every job.

What We Are Looking For

Engine Knowledge: You should know how diesel engines work inside and out. It’s a plus if you have experience with brands like Cummins, John Deere, or Mitsubishi.

Computer Skills: You are comfortable using modern technology and diagnostic tools.

Strength: You are physically fit and able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Work Ethic: You are organized, pay attention to the little things, and talk clearly with your team.

The Basics: You have a valid CDL Class B license and know how to use all the standard shop tools.

Pay: Compensation will be based on experience.
