RW Scott Construction Co. is a family-owned construction company in Auburn that's been in business for over 50 years. Our first priority is keeping our own fleet and equipment running — and our maintenance program is strong enough that the businesses around us bring us their equipment too: traffic control companies, electrical contractors, environmental firms, dealers, and local fleets. On any given week our bays hold dump trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, light towers, air compressors, and everything from half-ton pickups to Class 8 trucks. Fifty years in business means we care about the work were doing, the people it effects, and getting it done right the first time.

Who We're Looking For

We don't need a parts-changer. We need a technician who:

• Runs on their own motor — You don't wait to be told what's next. You see a problem and you correct it
• Does it right — You'd rather spend an extra twenty minutes doing a repair the best way possible than have the truck back in a month.
• Has Foresight — You don’t just look at the single issue. You look for other repairs that make sense to do while you're in there.
• Stays curious — New platform, new system, new fault code you've never seen — that's the fun part. You dig in, figure it out, and come out a better tech than you went in.
• Wants variety — Hydraulics on a dozer in the morning, A/C diagnostics on an F-150 after lunch, DT466 cooling system tomorrow.

What You'll Work On

• Heavy equipment: excavators, loaders, dozers, etc.
• Commercial trucks: dump trucks, medium- and heavy-duty platforms (International/Navistar, Kenworth/Paccar, and more)
• Light-duty and fleet pickups: Ford, GM, Ram — gas and diesel
• Support equipment: light towers, air compressors, and whatever else rolls through the door
• Jobsite service: fueling, greasing, and field repairs on active jobsites (prevailing wage work)
• Full scope of work: diagnostics, drivability, electrical, hydraulics, cooling systems, A/C, brakes, preventive maintenance

What You'll Need

• 3+ years experience diagnosing and repairing trucks and/or heavy equipment
• Your own hand tools (shop provides specialty tools and diagnostics)
• Valid WA driver's license with a clean record; CDL a plus, not required
• Comfortable with scan tools and electrical diagnostics — we diagnose problems, we don't throw parts at them
