Heavy Equipment Operator

We are a well-established and expanding Orange County based environmental construction company with a focus on earthmoving and remediation systems installation projects. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be a part of a team tasked with delivering a wide range of challenging jobs and should be willing to assist other crew members with their tasks as needed to achieve project goals.

Applicants should have experience operating Excavators, Loaders, Backhoes, Compactor, Skidsteers etc. in multiple environments, such as underground utilities, general grading, trenching, backfilling, loading trucks, shoring installation etc.

Desired Skills and Experience should include:
*Heavy Equipment Operation.
*Wear all required PPE at all times.
*Checking equipment daily to ensure it is in a safe working condition.
*Follow all health and safety best practices.
*Communicate safely and effectively with all team members.
*Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
*Provide suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.
*Understanding the environmental aspect of operations and working in environments where impacted soils and/or chemicals of concern may be present.
*Willingness to perform other field duties as required.

Requirements:
*Demonstrably proficient in heavy construction equipment operation.
*Understanding of Health and Safety criteria, especially in an Environmental setting.
*Be able to read, take verbal direction and understand instructions in English.
*Ability to work extended hours as required.
*Able to pass background check and drug test and hold a valid driving license.
*Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
*Hazwoper 40hr certification or current 8hr Refresher required to perform day-to-day activities. If no Haz 40 at time of interview, the successful applicant can take the training for this certification
