# Heavy Equipment Operator - Day Shift - $20.00-$28.00/Hour

MUST HAVE A RESUME

**Pay:** $20.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experience

**Schedule:** Monday-Friday, Day Shift. Start time varies by project. Overtime may be available based on workload. Occasional weekends may be required.

HireQuest Direct is hiring a temporary Heavy Equipment Operator for projects in Davenport, FL, and the surrounding areas, including Haines City, ChampionsGate, Loughman, Lake Hamilton, Auburndale, Winter Haven, and throughout Polk County. If you have experience operating heavy equipment and enjoy working outdoors, we'd love to hear from you.

**Duties:**

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily equipment inspections before use.
• Move dirt, gravel, and other materials as directed.
• Follow site safety rules and supervisor instructions.
• Help with general job site tasks when equipment is not in use.
• Keep equipment clean and report maintenance concerns.
• Work with the crew to complete projects on time.

**Requirements:**

• Previous heavy equipment operating experience required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Steel-toe boots and appropriate work clothing required.
• Must follow all job site safety procedures.
