Position Overview
The Supervisor Assistant / Equipment Operator operates front-end loaders and other equipment used in Agromin’s operations.
This role also supports the site supervisor by assisting with day-to-day site tasks, helping oversee staff and operations, and supporting safe, efficient work practices across the site.
This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who can work successfully with a team, communicate clearly, manage time well, and take pride in thorough, dependable work.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Site Support
- Operate front-end loaders and other equipment used in company operations.
- Assist the site supervisor with various operational tasks as needed.
- Support daily site operations while working both in equipment and outdoors assisting with tasks.
- Follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in orientation and safety trainings.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of traffic controls as a spotter, including flagging to guide traffic through work areas as required or assigned.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Communicate equipment defects or needed repairs to the Operations Supervisor.
- Clean and maintain assigned equipment.
- Help oversee some staff and site operations under the direction of the site supervisor.
- Assist in training employees performing maintenance and repair duties as required.
- Work successfully with team members and support a cooperative, productive work environment.
Equipment & Technical Capacity
- Experience operating a loader or other heavy equipment, or a desire to learn.
- Technical capacity and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to use basic computer programs and workplace software systems
- Ability to work successfully with a team.
- Communication proficiency.
- Desire to learn new skills and teach others.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and assist with physical site tasks as needed.
Location: Sacramento region, 95828 zipcode
Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday–Friday; some Saturdays 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.; overtime as needed.
Environment: Anticipated 50% in the loader or other equipment and 50% outdoors assisting with tasks as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- $28 - $33/hour; Pay depends upon experience.
