HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR – IMMEDIATE OPENING

Location: Augusta, GA & Surrounding Areas
Pay: $22.50–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
Position: Full-Time

Augusta Landworks is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator who can work independently and handle jobs from start to finish.

We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to sit in the seat and operate a machine. We need someone with real, verifiable experience who understands land work, job-site safety, equipment transportation, and how to complete a project properly without constant supervision.

EQUIPMENT & WORK MAY INCLUDE

• Excavators
• Skid steers / track loaders
• Tractors and bush hogs
• Forestry mulchers
• Stump grinders
• Dump trailers
• Equipment trailers
• Land clearing and grading equipment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform land clearing, grading, excavation, and bush hogging
• Remove trees, brush, stumps, roots, and debris
• Load and unload equipment
• Secure equipment properly for transportation
• Transport equipment between job sites
• Perform basic daily equipment inspections and maintenance
• Work independently and complete assigned projects
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Communicate equipment problems or job-site issues immediately

REQUIREMENTS

• Verifiable heavy equipment operating experience
• Must know how to safely load, chain down, transport, and unload equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean and dependable driving record
• Reliable transportation to work
• Ability to work outdoors in Georgia weather
• Must be dependable and show up on time
• Must be able to work independently without constant supervision
• Experience with land clearing, grading, excavation, or similar work strongly preferred

This is not an entry-level operator position.

We are looking for a long-term employee. If you have a history of constantly changing jobs, regularly missing work, or needing someone standing over you to get the job done, this position will not be a good fit.

Pay: $22.50–$25.00/hour based on experience and ability.
