PeopleReady Skilled Trades (PRST) is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators and Skilled Laborers for a construction project in Sadieville, KY involving the installation of a new carport and electric vehicle charging station.

We are looking for dependable construction professionals with experience in excavation, trenching, grading, material handling, and general site work.

Pay Rates

Heavy Equipment Operator: $26–$34/hr, depending on experience
Skilled Laborer: $23–$26/hr, depending on experience

Heavy Equipment Operator Responsibilities

Operate a mini excavator to dig footers and trenches according to project specifications
Operate a skid steer/Bobcat for material removal, hauling fill, and site preparation
Backfill trenches and footers as directed
Perform grading, excavation, and general site preparation
Work safely around underground utilities and other construction personnel
Conduct daily equipment inspections
Follow project plans, site safety requirements, and supervisor instructions
Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition

Skilled Laborer Responsibilities

Assist equipment operators with excavation, trenching, and backfilling
Move and stage construction materials
Perform general site cleanup and preparation
Assist with grading and installation work
Use basic hand and power tools
Work around heavy equipment while following established safety procedures
Support the crew with additional construction tasks as needed

Qualifications

Previous construction experience required
Heavy Equipment Operators must have hands-on experience operating mini excavators and skid steers/Bobcats
Experience with excavation, trenching, grading, and underground utility work preferred
Ability to safely use construction tools and equipment
Ability to lift and move construction materials as required
Reliable transportation to the Sadieville jobsite
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Must be dependable and able to work effectively as part of a construction crew
