Position Type: Full-Time Hourly
Compensation: $18–$30 per hour (commensurate with experience and skill level)
Location: Austin, TX and surrounding affluent areas (multiple job sites per week)
Reports To: Lead Carpenter / Owner
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable High-End Field Interior Trim Carpenter to join our team specializing in premium residential interior finishes. This is a field-based position focused on delivering exceptional craftsmanship in high-end homes throughout Austin’s most desirable neighborhoods. You will work on custom trim, molding, built-ins, cabinetry installation, and detailed finish work that demands precision, attention to detail, and a pride in creating beautiful results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install high-end interior trim, crown molding, panels, beams, baseboards, door/window casings, and custom millwork with exacting standards among many other things.
- Perform field adjustments, repairs, and custom woodworking solutions on-site.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless integration of trim work with overall interior finishes.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, architects, designers, and site supervisors.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications, if needed.
- Participate in ongoing training to expand woodworking techniques and stay current with premium materials and tools.
- Proven experience as a finish carpenter or trim carpenter, preferably in custom high-end residential construction.
- Strong portfolio or demonstrated ability in detailed interior trim and millwork.
- Must have reliable personal transportation and a valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to multiple job sites across the Austin area each week.
- Excellent hand skills with a (preferred) wide range of carpentry tools and equipment.
- Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills — you will be working directly in clients’ homes.
- Receptive to constructive feedback and able to implement corrections on the spot.
- Eagerness to learn new techniques and continuously improve woodworking knowledge. With the right candidate, we are more than willing to train further!
