Description

About You:

You’re a perfectionist at heart: you ensure your projects exceed quality expectations because you don’t accept anything less. Your assertive communication style and thorough planning help set the path forward to find solutions to problems before they arise. You enjoy your leadership role and know how to motivate your team in a respectful manner to get great work done; it’s your taskmaster mentality that helps keep things on track, ensuring you meet or beat the schedule.

About Us:

For starters, we’re an award-winning general building contractor based in San Francisco. We’re a small and nimble firm that takes on large residential remodeling projects in San Francisco and the North Bay. We take pride in our craft, utilize sustainable building practices, and apply aesthetic understanding to every home we build. Our reputation for quality and excellence affords us the ability to partner with the best: the best architects, designers, engineers, and sub-contractors to create healthy, efficient, and beautiful homes for our discerning clients.

With a strong backlog of projects, we’re looking to add another Site Superintendent to our team. This SS will run residential remodeling construction projects with direct support coming from the Project Manager. Our streamlined processes and supportive team environment ensure you’re set up for success, so you can focus on what you love most: building.

About the Job:

The Site Superintendent is the lynchpin of a successful project, managing the daily on-site work, monitoring staff and subcontractors’ performance and working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the QC standards, including financial and scheduling goals, are met. Our ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is an accomplished builder, and is a dedicated problem solver. This is a full-time, salaried position.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive, hands-on construction experience (5 years in a supervisory role) in residential remodeling construction. Knowledge of relevant building trades and current building codes/permit requirements.
  • Excellent and demonstrable communication skills, verbal and written. Fluent in English, ability to speak Spanish, a plus.
  • Self-starter and self-directed, but also a team player. Strong interpersonal skills, with emphasis on tact, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Computer proficiency: Strong MS Office skills and project management software experience required; Procore and Microsoft Project/FastTrack a plus.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations, prioritize competing issues and manage concurrent deadlines
We Offer:
  • Competitive salary
  • Health and dental insurance benefits
  • Paid time off
  • Holiday pay
  • 401K plan
  • Goals-based bonus program
  • Flexible spending account
  • Cell phone allowance
