We're Hiring: Foreman & Lead Craftsperson

High-End Residential Construction | Lafayette, CA

Peripherie Constructs is seeking experienced, detail-oriented construction professionals to join our growing team. We are an architect-led design-build company specializing in thoughtfully designed and crafted custom homes and high-end residential renovations throughout the Bay Area, bringing together exceptional craftsmanship, careful planning, and modern construction practices.

We are looking for craftspeople who want to show their best work and are inherently self-motivated and a great problem-solver. You must be open to different ways of doing things in the field, as the project we are hiring for is not a traditional stick-frame build nor a traditional design. We build contemporary architecture, so there no trims to hide defects. As a general contractor, we do a variety of work from rough framing / laying masonry (ICCF) blocks with rebar to tile laying, artisanal plastering, finish millwork carpentry. We want well-rounded individuals that can look at the big picture and be part of the team to execute that vision.

Open Positions

Foreman

Full-Time | Hourly

Compensation: $50–$60/hour DOE + Benefits

We're looking for a seasoned field leader who can oversee day-to-day operations on a high-end residential project in Lafayette. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional workmanship while maintaining schedule, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

Perform daily construction activities from start to finish

Install rebar and ICCF blocks
Perform finish carpentry and general construction tasks
Install specialty finishes
Read and interpret construction drawings
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections
Maintain site logistics
Ensure exceptional quality control throughout construction
Enforce jobsite safety and cleanliness
Communicate effectively with project management, design professionals, and homeowners
Mentor field personnel and lead by example
Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation

Qualifications

10+ years of residential construction experience
Previous experience supervising custom home projects
Strong knowledge of residential building methods and sequencing
Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Valid California driver's license
Reliable truck and personal tools required

Bilingual (Spanish - English) preferred.

Any certifications are a plus.

Lead Craftsperson

Full-Time | Hourly

Compensation: $45–$55/hour DOE + Benefits

We're looking for an experienced craftsperson who takes pride in producing exceptional work. This role will perform a wide range of tasks ranging from masonry + rebar, finish carpentry, installation, and punch-list work while helping maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Install rebar and ICCF blocks

Perform finish carpentry and general construction tasks
Install specialty finishes
Read and interpret construction drawings
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Coordinate with the foreman and subcontractors
Identify issues before they become problems
Deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to detail

Qualifications

7+ years of residential carpentry experience
Experience with luxury custom homes preferred
Strong knowledge of residential construction methods
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Valid California driver's license
Reliable truck and personal tools required

Bilingual (Spanish - English) preferred.
