HIGH PAY! Landscape Construction Crew Lead
Landscape Construction Crew Lead
Description
This is not an entry-level position.
If you have not run a crew on a design-build landscape construction job, this posting is not for you.
Who We Are
Bayview Landscape Co. builds high-end residential outdoor environments across Silicon Valley — retaining walls, concrete flatwork, pavers, drainage systems, irrigation, low-voltage lighting, and softscape. We work to a higher standard than most and we move at a fast pace. We're growing and we need a lead who can keep up.
The Role
You will own the job site. That means showing up with your crew ready, sequencing the work without being told, managing daily production, maintaining quality, and handling problems before they reach ownership. You will interact with clients on site and you will be held accountable for the outcome of every job you run.
If you need someone to tell you what to do next, this is not the right fit.
What You Must Have
- 5+ years of hands-on landscape construction experience — not maintenance, not mowing
- 2+ years running a crew as a lead or foreman on construction jobs
- Direct experience with all of the following:
- Irrigation: head spacing, rotor vs. spray zones, valve troubleshooting, pressure testing, controller programming
- Low-voltage lighting: fixture installation, wire runs, transformer load calculations, zone programming
- Concrete flatwork: form work, mix ratios, finishing, saw cutting, control joints
- Drainage: French drains, channel drains, catch basins, grading to swale
- Softscape: soil amendment, finish grading, plant spacing, root depth awareness
- Ability to read and execute from a landscape construction plan
- Experience correcting and directing crew members on site
- Bilingual — English and Spanish, both fluent
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Verifiable references from previous employers or general contractors
Bonus Qualifications
- Pool deck experience: mastic joint installation, cool deck, pool equipment bonding
- Equipment operation: skid steer, mini excavator, plate compactor
- OSHA 10 or equivalent
- Experience with field documentation apps or production tracking tools
What We Offer
- $26–$35/hr DOE with a performance-based increase at 90 days
- Full-time, consistent work on premium residential projects
- A company that promotes from within and rewards people who produce
- We're a scaling company — you'll help shape how we operate, not just follow a playbook
To Apply
Send a resume and a description of the most complex construction job you've personally led — scope, crew size, trade mix, and what went wrong and how you handled it. We verify every reference before any offer is extended. Do not apply if you cannot provide verifiable work history in landscape construction.
