Hiring Experienced Service and Repair Residential/Commercial Plumbers

EXPERIENCED SERVICE PLUMBER - NORTH HOLLYWOOD
$30-$34/hr + overtime. Most of our guys make $70K-$85K.

Family-owned C-36 shop (Lic. #583868), running Los Angeles since 1989. Service and repair only. No new construction, no tract work.

We need a plumber who can be handed a truck and a route and run calls start to finish with nobody holding his hand. Not a helper position. Not an apprentice position.

THE MONEY

$30-$34/hour base depending on what you can actually do. California pays time-and-a-half after 8 hours a day and we run the hours - most days are 8 to 10, some are 12. We don't send guys home early to dodge overtime.

• 40 hrs/week - about $62,000/yr
• 45 hrs/week - about $74,000/yr
• 50 hrs/week - about $86,000/yr

Performance pay on top of that. Company truck and gas card - another $500-$700 a month you're not spending on fuel and repairs.

THE WORK

Houses, apartment buildings, HOA properties, and light commercial, often all in the same week. A lot of it is occupied units with the tenant standing there, the manager on the phone, and a shared system you can't shut down while you figure it out.

CAN YOU DO THESE ALONE?

• Set a gas water heater start to finish: gas, venting, expansion tank, T&P, strapping, inspection-ready
• Tankless service and install
• Cable and jet a main, run a camera, locate the break
• Solder, press, PEX, galvanized transitions
• Repipes, slab leaks, underground water lines
• Gas line repair, extension, pressure test
• Trace a leak through stacked units and find which unit is causing it
• Isolate one unit or riser without shutting down the building
• Cast iron stacks - diagnose, spot repair, know when it's done
• Central water heaters, recirc lines and pumps
• Flushometers, booster pumps, grease interceptors
• Pull your own permits and pass inspection
• Write the estimate on the spot and close it

REQUIRED

• 6+ years service and repair. New construction only doesn't count.
• Real apartment, HOA, or property management experience. Not just single family houses.
• Valid CA driver's license, insurable driving record
• You can handle a tenant, a manager, and a homeowner in the same morning and all three want you back

DON'T BOTHER IF

• You need a lead tech on site to make the call
• Your background is rough-in or new construction
• You've only worked single family
• You leave a mess behind you
