Hiring Journeyman Residential Roofing Crew

Local family Residential Reroof and Repair Company. We keep our crews busy throughout the year. Repairs available in winter and during short weeks. Many benefits and honest company who takes care of their employees.

Looking for Journeyman Roofing crews of 2-4 people. Most work is on residential homes in the Sacramento area. Should have experience in composition shingle installation, sheathing/osb, dry-rot repair/and or carpentry work. Must be hard working, professional, and quality oriented. Yearly bonuses for all roofers who’ve been with company at least 90 days.

$1000 signing bonus after 90 days for each journeyman. $500 per each helper!

Crew leaders must have at least 6 years journeyman-level experience in residential roofing installation. Must be capable of full roof installations including all flashings, underlayments, flashings, low slope roofs. Standard shingles and presidentials. Helpers must have at least 1 year of experience and be at least 18 years of age.

Requirements:

Must be proficient in composition shingle installation, plywood/OSB sheathing, dry-rot repairs, chimney flashing experience.

Must have own tools, compressors, and truck. Company truck available after 90 days to excellent crews.

Crew leader must be able to speak/communicate in English effectively.

Must be quality oriented. Quality is more important than speed with our company.

Crew leader Must have valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Helpers must be at least 18 years of age and have experience with roofing.

Must get along well with fellow workers, office staff, production manager, supervisor.

No use of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana or other drugs on jobsites or company property.

Bonus Skills:

Experience with Singly Ply and built up roof systems, self-adhering (peel and stick) 2 and 3 ply systems. Peel and Stick, TPO, etc.

Excellent dry-rot repair/ carpentry skills.

Repair experience with tile, wood shake and composition shingles important to stay busy year round.

Willing to work in light rain when needed.

Pay:

For Journeyman: $36-$45 per hr depending on experience and qualifications and quality. Helpers/Crews: $27-$36 depending on experience.
Piece Rate $40-$45 per square plus more for higher end shingles, extra pay for all accessories, eave nosings per foot, exhaust vents, chimneys, skylights, ridge per foot, ice & water, step flashings. etc. Rate per square depending on quality and experience.

We pay piece rate for roof installation. Hourly for dry-rot repairs.

Fall protection Bonus Pay on every job per roof.
