CareWorks Construction is seeking an experienced and dependable Carpenter Foreman / Crew Leader to join our growing team. Our company specializes in nursing home renovations, healthcare facility upgrades, and occupied construction environments where safety, cleanliness, and professionalism are essential.
We are looking for a skilled leader who can oversee a small crew, manage daily jobsite operations, and perform hands-on carpentry work while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a small crew of carpenters and laborers on active renovation projects.
- Perform and oversee all phases of carpentry work including framing, drywall, patching, finishing, doors, trim, flooring, and general interior renovations.
- Coordinate daily tasks, maintain workflow, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and facility staff.
- Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and compliance, especially in occupied nursing home and healthcare environments.
- Implement and enforce dust containment, infection control barriers, and safety procedures.
- Identify problems in the field and provide practical solutions.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of carpentry and construction experience.
- Prior experience leading a crew or acting as a foreman preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general construction methods, materials, and carpentry practices.
- Ability to coordinate work accordingly.
- Must be hands-on, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Experience working in healthcare, nursing homes, or occupied renovations is a strong plus.
- Must speak both Spanish and English.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Experience with drywall finishing, flooring installation, metal framing, and interior renovation work.
- Knowledge of infection control practices (ICRA), dust barriers, and occupied construction protocols.
- Ability to manage materials, tools, and crew productivity.
