Hiring Professional Movers & Box Truck Drivers — $25-27/hr + Bonuses

Metropolis Moving is a premium boutique moving company serving New York City's residential and long-distance market. We are not a volume operation. We run small, professional crews and we take care of the people who take care of our clients.
We are hiring experienced movers and box truck drivers to join our team in Brooklyn and Queens.

COMPENSATION

$25–$27/hr base pay, paid weekly
Pointman Program: qualified crew leads earn an additional $4/hr premium on every hour worked as lead
Earning potential up to $31/hr for high performers
W-2 employment if eligible — not 1099 gig work

REQUIREMENTS

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record — required

Minimum 2 years experience driving box trucks (16–26ft)
Minimum 2 years professional moving experience
Resume required — no resume, no response
Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
Professional appearance and conduct at all times
Smartphone required for our dispatch CRM app

W-2 status, PTO, and retirement eligibility are determined following successful completion of a probationary period.

RELIABILITY IS OUR #1 REQUIREMENT

We run a small fleet. When someone doesn't show up, real clients and real colleagues are affected. We require full commitment to your schedule every shift. A single unexcused absence or no-call-no-show is disqualifying. If reliability is a challenge for you, this is not the right fit — and that's okay. We'd rather be upfront about it now.

THE POINTMAN PROGRAM

After demonstrating consistent reliability, CRM discipline, and client professionalism, qualified movers are designated as Pointman — the crew lead on a job. Pointmen earn $4/hr above their base rate on every hour worked in that role. This is a performance-based designation tied to real responsibility. It is the primary path to higher earnings at Metropolis.
