Part Time HOA Maintenance Person (with Pool Duties)
Schedule: M/W/F: 8hrs x 3 days = 24hr/week
Location: On site HOA community
Reports to: HOA Board / Community Manager
About the Role
The HOA Maintenance Person helps keep our community clean and running smoothly. This position handles light repairs, basic carpentry, common area upkeep, and seasonal pool maintenance. Ideal for someone reliable, self directed, and comfortable working outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
- General Repairs — Minor plumbing (like replacing a fixture), carpentry, siding, and hardware fixes as well as realizing with the fix isn’t minor and requires a certified electrician or plumber.
- Common Area Upkeep — Pathways, signage, lighting, mail kiosks, playground, clubhouse
- Grounds Support — Debris pickup, pressure washing, storm drain clearing
- Pool Maintenance — Daily checks, chemical balancing, skimming, vacuuming, equipment monitoring, may require shifting hours during the summer to open the pool in the mornings but we have volunteers to help so that might not be necessary.
- Vendor Access — Assist contractors, scheduling and report issues, following up
- Resident Interaction — Courteous communication and issue escalation, coordination with our volunteers, responding professionally to our on-line workorder system.
- Computer skills – Can use our on-line work-order system, Front Steps Web site knowledge is a plus.
- Maintenance/Handyman experience needed: How to use hand tools and common power tools, how to use a gas-powered pressure washer, fix siding, reattach gutters, climb a ladder unassisted (first floor only), lift 40–50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of pool care is a plus
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Must have a reliable vehicle
• Hourly rate: $45
