HVAC Bidder / Estimator Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Project Analysis: Review project blueprints, proposals, and specifications to understand the scope of work for HVAC systems.
• Cost Estimation: Calculate accurate estimates for labor, materials, and equipment needed for projects.
• Material & Labor Take-Offs: Quantify specific materials and labor requirements from project plans.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Solicitation: Obtain bids and quotes from vendors and subcontractors for materials and specialized tasks.
• Proposal Development: Prepare detailed bid packages and cost proposals for clients.
• Bid Management: Track bids, follow up on inquiries, and potentially negotiate terms to secure contracts.
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of all estimates, quotes, and project data.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of HVAC systems, products, and related codes and specifications.
• Reading Blueprints: Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and mechanical plans.
• Industry Knowledge: Several years of experience in the HVAC or construction industry.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in estimating software and tools..
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to quantify project needs and prepare cost breakdowns.
• Organization: Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and maintain accurate documentation.
