Jimco Electric & HVAC is looking for an experienced HVAC Installation & Service Technician to join our team.

This position is primarily focused on residential furnace and air-conditioning installations, replacements, and system change-outs, but we are also looking for someone who is comfortable with HVAC service, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate can handle a complete furnace or AC replacement from start to finish, work neatly in customers’ homes, and diagnose service problems when needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Remove and replace residential furnaces and air-conditioning systems
• Install new furnaces, condensers, evaporator coils, and related HVAC equipment
• Complete full residential HVAC change-outs
• Modify and install sheet metal and duct transitions as needed
• Install flue piping, condensate drains, line sets, disconnects, and related components
• Braze refrigerant lines and properly evacuate and charge systems
• Start up and test newly installed equipment
• Diagnose and repair furnaces and air-conditioning systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigerant-related problems
• Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal HVAC service
• Explain system operation and repairs clearly to customers
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional

Qualifications:

• Experience installing residential furnaces and air conditioners
• Ability to perform furnace and AC replacements with limited supervision
• HVAC troubleshooting and service experience
• Knowledge of refrigerant systems, electrical controls, and airflow
• Brazing and evacuation experience
• EPA certification preferred
• Sheet metal experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented
