Commercial Repair Service is seeking an experienced, dependable HVAC Maintenance Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment in commercial and residential buildings throughout the Tucson area.

This position is ideal for a well-rounded technician who can troubleshoot problems independently, communicate professionally with customers and facility managers, and complete accurate work-order documentation. You will work closely with our operations team while handling assigned service calls in a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial and residential HVAC/R equipment
Perform preventive maintenance and identify developing equipment problems
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigeration-system issues
Explain findings and recommended repairs clearly and professionally
Complete work orders, service notes, photographs, and material documentation
Communicate with operations regarding job status, additional work, and follow-up needs
Maintain an organized company vehicle and properly care for company equipment
Follow applicable safety procedures and refrigerant-handling requirements
Participate in occasional overtime or after-hours coverage as scheduled
Qualifications

At least three years of HVAC/R service or closely related experience preferred
EPA Section 608 certification required
Valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to qualify to drive a company vehicle
Strong HVAC/R diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Working knowledge of electrical controls, refrigeration systems, and general maintenance procedures
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple service requests
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Dependable attendance and a strong attention to detail
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
High school diploma or equivalent
Commercial Repair Service performs a variety of commercial and residential repair work. This role will primarily focus on HVAC/R service while occasionally assisting with related maintenance and repair needs.
