About the Role

We are a growing mechanical contractor specializing in industrial and heavy commercial HVAC projects. We’re looking for experienced, hands-on installers/technicians who love working in the field and getting the job done right. This is a boots-on-the-ground position requiring the ability to perform the essential physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various conditions. CDMtek performs a variety of construction services where each project and even daily tasks will differ in a wide variety of skillsets, offering the opportunity to learn new skillsets and grow while enhancing job satisfaction. Jobsites are across the Central Texas region and require daily commuting as jobsite locations dictate, must have reliable transportation. You will be installing, rigging, and constructing large-scale HVAC systems alongside very skilled and capable professionals. We need capable people who can be managed effectively but don’t need to manage others.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Installing chillers, boilers, large air handlers, pumps, VFDs, and hydronic systems
Installing ductwork
Piping threaded, grooved, carbon steel welded, brazed,
Associated utilities, ancillary required construction in general trades
Working on both new construction and retrofit/upgrade projects
Rigging and setting heavy equipment
Troubleshooting and solving problems as they arise in the field
Helping keep projects on schedule alongside our PMs

What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of hands-on installation experience in heavy commercial/industrial HVAC
Skills in metal air side ducting, pipefitting, brazing, rigging, and layout
Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in quality work
Ability to work well with a team, take direction, and get the job done
Safety conscious, observing safety and jobsite rules
Manlift, scissor, boom, fork experience
Must have reliable transportation, own hand tools and “can do” attitude

Contamos con fuertes Gerentes de Proyecto y soporte de oficina, por lo que buscamos instaladores y técnicos experimentados y prácticos que disfruten trabajar en el campo y hacer el trabajo correctamente.
Este es un puesto de campo (“boots-on-the-ground”) con demandas físicas que incluyen levantar hasta 50 libras, estar de pie por periodos prolongados y trabajar en diversas condiciones. Los proyectos se encuentran en la región de Texas Central (Austin, San Antonio y Hill Country), con desplazamientos diarios según sea necesario. Instalarás y aparejarás sistemas HVAC a gran escala junto a profesionales altamente capacitados. Buscamos personas capaces que puedan ser dirigidas eficazmente, sin necesidad de gestionar a otros.
Qué Harás

• Instalar enfriadores (chillers), calderas (boilers), manejadoras de aire grandes, bombas, VFDs y sistemas hidrónicos
• Instalar conductos de aire metálicos y sistemas de aire
• Instalación de tuberías (roscadas, ranuradas, acero al carbono soldadas, soldadas por bronce)
• Aparejo (rigging) e instalación de equipo pesado
• Trabajos asociados de oficios generales y servicios públicos
• Trabajar en proyectos de nueva construcción y renovaciones/mejoras
• Solucionar problemas en el campo
• Apoyar a los Gerentes de Proyecto para mantener los proyectos en horario

Qué Buscamos

• 3+ años de experiencia práctica en instalación HVAC comercial pesada o industrial
• Habilidades sólidas en ductos de aire, instalación de tuberías, soldadura por bronce, aparejo y trazado
• Capacidad para leer e interpretar planos mecánicos
• Experiencia con elevadores aéreos (manlift), tijera, pluma y montacargas
• Transporte confiable, licencia de conducir váli
